OriginEight turns fragmented service-company markets, customer-provided lists, and buyer-defined target profiles into ranked acquisition intelligence, with scoring, tiering, recommendations, and documented evidence for every company.

Recommendation
A founder-led platform at a succession inflection with high likelihood of expansion potential — pursue immediately.
Top reasons
1
Founder-led, 24-year service business with a family-COO transition underway — a classic inflection-point profile.
2
Multi-state (5 states) field service running two coordinated brands (kitchen exhaust + fire suppression) — structural operational complexity.
3
Compliance-driven, dispatch-intensive delivery with recurring revenue cycles — high surface area for operating-system and AI / automation leverage.
4
Multi-unit chain customer base (Chipotle, Five Guys, Chili’s, RaceTrac, QuikTrip) — account-level reporting needs and consistent SLAs across territories.

Scoring methodology

How scoring works

The output is auditable because we keep three layers apart: what was observed, how we read it, and the score it moved. Here is one fact making that journey.

Reading the scores
Fit
Thesis match
Complexity
Operational surface = improvement runway
Opportunity
Upside levers
Confidence
Evidence quality
01 · Raw fact
The company lists three operating locations.
02 · Signal
Multi-site delivery suggests regional coordination complexity.
03 · Score
↑ Complexity · ↑ Opportunity
SCORES BECOME A RECOMMENDATIONthe pattern matters, not the average
Pursue
Meaningfully aligned with the thesis and worth active attention.
Selective
Real signal, but the case is mixed, smaller, or needs validation.
Reject
Lacks fit, scale, complexity, or has a clear disqualifier.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

No. The CSV is only an input or export format. What you get is a proprietary acquisition dataset (briefs as the evidence, tiers as the decision layer) worked in a browser-based workbench. We do not sell contacts or raw records, and you keep ownership of everything you send.
AI performs research at a breadth and speed a human team could not match: scanning fragmented public information, extracting the signals that matter, and comparing them against your thesis. But the output is composed by a proprietary scoring architecture that enforces consistency, confidence indicators, and quality control. The rubric and its lane discipline keep an appealing narrative from inflating a score.
Missing exact revenue, fuzzy headcount, or unclear ownership become unknowns, not automatic penalties. Confidence is a separate axis, so a thin web footprint often just means a company is under-covered, not low-quality. Unknowns and contradictions are preserved in the record as watch items and validation notes you check before a call.
Yes. The standard thesis and rubric apply by default. A custom thesis and rubric (your exclusions, weights, and definitions) is a scoped option that changes how every signal is interpreted, because the same fact can mean different things to different buyers.
Lists, exports, and theses are handled under NDA, never resold, and never pooled into a shared database. The thesis-driven dataset we build is delivered to you as a standalone asset. Your sourcing edge stays your sourcing edge. We work your companies, and only yours.
